Our Story
When I started out I was in the kitchen and bedroom industry, it was during a fit of a kitchen that I had a chance meeting with the area manager of an International window blind company. He had no agents in the Limerick area and asked if I would help him out for a few weeks till he recruited someone to take over. I agreed, but only on a part time basis and only for a month. I found I enjoyed selling and fitting blinds and shutters and spent more time on blinds then I did on kitchens.
As time went by and one month turned into two years, I decided to go into the blind and shutter business full time. In 2007 after two years learning all I could about the blind and shutter industry I started Irish Blinds.
I decided not to open a show room, but to have a mobile show room. This has served me well over the years as I believe customers have to see the samples in the setting where they will be used. By not opening a showroom I have been able to save on expenses and I have passed these savings onto my customers.
